JC Internship Program
Get to know the Program
The Journey Center Internship Program gives university students hands-on experience in missions, nonprofit strategy, community outreach, and international development.
Interns live and serve in JTDM host countries while building real-world skills in education, marketing, data research, social impact, and more. Each internship is tailored to the student’s field of study and personal calling.

Program Tracks

Education Majors Track
Objective: Experience International and Global primary and secondary education system; develop cross-cultural teaching skills.
Internship Site: Local Schools
Activities:

Classroom assistance under a local teacher mentor
-
Lesson planning and small group tutoring
-
Literacy program facilitation
-
Organizing student activities (arts, sports, leadership workshops)

S.T.E.M Track
Objective: Support the development of STEM education in underserved communities.
Internship Site: Partner with University and other vocational schools
Activities:

Assist in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) tutoring
-
Help set up mini labs, tech training, or basic engineering projects
-
Math clubs and robotics workshops for local students

All Majors Track
Objective: Gain international volunteer experience and community development exposure.
Internship Site: Various NGOs, Journey Centers, orphanages, youth centers and schools
Activities:

After-school tutoring
Housing &
Accommodations
Safe Guesthouses (Hotel/Hostel - Nice and Secure Hotel/Hostel Friendly student rooms). Option for home stay near the school and centers for the cultural immersion.
